Country Market announces the latest winner of £1,000!
Country Market is pleased to announce that Home-Start WeyWater is the latest winner of their X-citing Projects Campaign.
As winners, Home-Start WeyWater were awarded £1,000, which they will use to buy a new computer, some new telephones and pay for some printing which will allow them to continue offering the support to the increasing numbers of local families that need it.
Home-Start WeyWater is part of the UK’s leading family support charity. They are based in Bordon and cover Bordon, Whitehill, Alton ,Liphook and all surrounding villages.
They recruit and train volunteers to support parents with young children at home. Volunteers provide non-judgemental, practical and emotional support and help build the family’s confidence and ability to cope.
Senior Co-ordinator of Home-Start WeyWater, Angela Small, wanted to thank everyone who voted for them: "We are thrilled and still can’t quite believe we have won! Thank you so much to everyone who voted for us. We know at times like these there are a lot of people needing a helping hand and we cannot thank Country Market enough for giving us this money. We really are over the moon.”
Dean Marshall, Partner of Country Market, also added: “Once again, we received an incredible response to both the nominations and the voting for the X-citing Projects Campaign. A huge congratulations again to Home-Start WeyWater who are doing incredible work in supporting local families. I would like to say to all those that didn’t make it into the top three, that there is still a chance, and to other groups who have not yet nominated themselves to certainly try! So far we have managed to help two local organisations and we are looking forward to helping out many more as we are running the X-citing Projects until early next year. These are one of the many X-citing Events that we have going on at Country Market, so far we have also given away £1,000 to two unsuspecting shoppers and are launching our time capsule as well as our win a business competition in September.”
The X-citing Projects Campaign offers local charities, organisations and projects the chance of winning £1,000 to spend on anything they would like that will help them to enhance their service.
Country Market has now re-opened the nominations and is encouraging readers to nominate a group that they feel deserves the £1,000 fund. You can write to Country Market X-citing Projects, c/o PMW Communications, Stane Court, Stane Street, Billingshurst, West Sussex, RH14 9HP or email countrymarket@pmwcom.co.uk.
Nominations close 22nd September and the top three will be announced on the 10th October.
