Hints & Tips for Sellers
Read our Terms & Conditions above before selling items at the car boot sale for any item restrictions. Once you’re ready, sort out your goods ready for sale, consider the values and ideally price them up before you arrive. If safe and practical, load up your car the night before and remember to put your table or groundsheet in last.
Watch the weather forecast, and prepare for your day ahead. There is no shade or shelter from rain or sun in the field so a handy umbrella can be useful. If there is a chance of rain, a plastic cover is handy to cover your items too.

Some sellers like to use a gazebo, canopy, awning or umbrella if the forecast is unsettled. There is no additional charge to add one above your stall but do consider the space in your vehicle and the time to erect it.
The car boot sale is an 'old school' cash environment. There are no change facilities on site. Bring PLENTY of change with you.
Please have the correct entry money ready when you arrive.
Do not leave cash unsecured. Do make sure that your boot is locked when you arrive and until you are ready to set up.
Please note that trading (with other sellers) is not permitted before the buyer entry time.
We recommend that you bring a friend or relative to share the day. You may appreciate help to mind your stall when you need the loo or a coffee break, and a watchful eye if you are engaged in conversation.
Sellers are very welcome to bring refreshments for own consumption but drinks, foods or sweets may not be sold at the car boot sale as there are strict regulations controlling the sale of foods. Please also ensure any waste or packaging is taken away with you and disposed of responsibly.

Site access gates do not open before 6am. Please do not queue on the public highway.
From 11am onwards is generally a peak time with a volume of vehicles leaving the car boot sale. On a busy day it may take time for vehicles to safely exit onto the highway.
