Jean Evans, the second lucky shopper to win £500 as part of Country Market’s X-citing Times competition, was presented with her prize money on Thursday 8^th August.

The X-citing Times Competition, which was launched in June, offers shoppers the chance to win £500 simply by having their photograph taken next to a giant ‘X’ in store. Each customer is given a designated number to hold in the picture, with each number representing the days counting down to the grand unveiling of the new Country Market, building due to open in March 2014. Every month one lucky customer will be picked at random to win the £500!

“I’ve been shopping at Country Market for so many years and was only too pleased to have my picture taken on the ‘X’; I didn’t think for a second that I might win the money, so it was such a great surprise. I can’t wait to see what the new building has to offer and now I have £500 to spend there!”
