Following the unveiling of Country Market’s impressive new building, the family-run business will be burying a thought-provoking time capsule and is offering local residents one last chance to get involved.

Country Market’s X-Citing Future time capsule campaign was launched last year to commemorate the opening of the new building.  The farm shop and plant nursery has extended the deadline for contributions to its special time capsule and is inviting members of the local community to submit photographs, artwork and even personal aspirations to be included.  The Marshall family are particularly keen to receive photographs taken at Country Market’s official launch day which took place on Saturday 31st May.  The capsule will be buried close to the new building and marked with a special plaque.

The time capsule will be buried for 20 years, so the entries could also include predictions about the future of the area, old or current photographs or personal memories about living in Bordon.

Peter Marshall, Partner of Country Market, commented:

“We have had some great entries so far and it was lovely looking through them all.  The local school children, in particular, have made such a lot of effort that we will be making duplicates of their drawings and creating a display within our new building.  We decided to delay the burial of the time capsule as we thought it would be nice to include the re-launch of our new store within the capsule.  I would like to emphasise to local residents that the deadline has been extended until 6th July, should they wish to take this opportunity to be part of our X-citing Future!”

To submit an entry for the time capsule simply email countrymarket@pmwcom.co.uk or send it to Country Market X-citing Future, c/o PMW Communications, Stane Court, Stane Street, Billingshurst, West Sussex RH14 9HP. Staff at Country Market will also be accepting the entries. The closing date for entries is Sunday 6th July 2014. Entries need to be A4 in size (or smaller) and must be 2D due to size restrictions of the time capsule.
