Time Capsule launched to seal X-citing Future
Country Market at Kingsley, Bordon is delighted to announce that they will be burying a time capsule next to the welcome entrance of the new building and are calling out to all customers and local residents to get involved.
As part of their X-citing Future campaign, Country Market is looking for memorabilia that reflects the local area such photographs, past memories, drawings and poems to place inside the capsule.
The capsule will be officially buried later this year and will remain underground for 30 years. With this in mind, people will also be asked to submit predictions of what the future holds for the area and even aspirations for themselves.
Dean Marshall, Partner of Country Market, commented: “With the amazing new development of Country Market now underway, we thought this was the perfect chance to create our own time capsule. With our inspiration coming from the discovery of Roman Kilns and Iron age artefacts during our initial ground investigations, this will be an opportunity for the community to be part of a discovery for the future. We are very enthusiastic for our customers and local residents to be part of the new Country Market and we are looking forward to seeing some interesting entries. When the time capsule is eventually unearthed and re-opened in 2044 it will be fascinating to see if people’s aspirations and predictions came true.”
To submit your memories, predictions and aspirations for the time capsule simply email countrymarket@pmwcom.co.uk or send it to Country Market X-citing Future, C/O PMW Communications, Stane Court, Stane Street, Billingshurst, West Sussex RH14 9HP. Staff at Country Market will also be accepting the entries. The closing date for entries is 11th October 2013.
