Healthy & wholesome
The humble spud has many health benefits. For example, potatoes provide the body with an essential source of fuel and energy which you need even when dieting. This versatile and tasty vegetable is packed with vitamin B as well as potassium, magnesium and iron. It is said that this naturally tasty food also reduces blood pressure, helps protect against cardiovascular disease and with high levels of fibre is great for maintaining regular bowel movements.
Did you know? If you accidentally burn yourself gently press a piece of raw potato against the injury and it will take out the sting and help speed up the healing process.
A family favourite for tasty dishes
When the dark night's draw in many of us will be enjoying a traditional roast. In our farm shop we recommend Desiree and King Edwards varieties as the best potatoes to use for fluffy roasties - a staple for any table.

Advice from our farm shop
We recommend storing potatoes in a cool dark place. Potatoes should be dry before storing them and not stored in plastic bags.
